MICHAEL BENNETT

I joined the Club in the spring of 2010 on learning about the SL event to take place in Sandringham. Since when I have wholeheartedly embraced Club life attending many Club events. I am particularly drawn to driving trips, especially if they include driving in the mountains of the Alps or the Pyrenees. My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed the numerous overseas tours we have attended with the Club; the first of which was the 2012 Monte Carlo Rally experience. My wife (Staff or sometimes Chief of Staff) and I are joint members. We have owned my 2003 SL500 (R230) from new having collected it from Bremen under the then Factory Collect scheme. We also have a 2001 SLK320 (R170) which we bought from a Club member in 2014. I am proud of being the Model Register Captain representing the R230 and of being selected to be the 2019 recipient of the Footman James Spirit of the Club Trophy.
