I purchased my first Mercedes-Benz car in the early 2000s, however, it was in 2013 that I fell in love with the brand. Since then I have owned 4 new A, C and E classes of different variants as "daily drivers". Today, I own a 1998 R170 SLK230 that's my weekend toy. I just love the design of it! I became the Midlands-North Regional Officer in 2017 and grew the Region to a point where in 2019 we hosted almost 25 events (in addition to our monthly pub meetings) ranging from breakfast meetups, car tour days, car shows, dealer and automotive supplier events and afternoon teas. In early 2021 I took on the role of Website & IT Manager, using my 25 years+ experience in the IT industry, I have been responsible for ensuring the delivery of our online resources. Early in February 2022, I was asked to join the board of directors for the Club. As IT Director, I will continue my work in developing our website presence and will be assessing all aspects of our organisation IT use, looking for opportunities to make more effective and efficient.
