PHILIP and MRS E THAIN

Married with four children I live in Wandsworth, South West London. I have been a member of the Club since the mid 1990’s, and I have been W108/109 Model Register Captain for about 10 years. I became one of the London Regional Officers about 5 years ago. My main interest is with Mercedes Benz saloon cars of the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s and I own a number of these. I tend to keep my cars long-term and have owned my 1967 Fintail for 35 years. I currently own 8 Mercedes Benz cars, mostly older models, which are all fully roadworthy and ready for action. I am much more interested in driving than polishing, and I like to keep my cars fully fettled mechanically. I have participated in Club events all around the country over the years and as a German speaker especially enjoy the annual ‘Ponton Rally’ to Germany.
