The W126s are for me the epitome of Mercedes design, looking good, built to last and very collectable. The SEC coupe is perhaps the ultimate in elegance looking good from any angle. With this passion for the SEC I took the plunge and bought a 560 SEC in June 2015. It needed extensive body work repairs and although the work was entrusted to a restorer I learnt a lot along the way. This lead to me writing about these cars and later many other classics. In a short space of time I’ve established a network of breakers, engineers, body specialists, auctioneers and dealers to whom I can either ask advice or steer people towards. My greatest privilege was to have the ex George Harrison 500 SEL AMG for 7 months. As MRC it’s a real pleasure assisting Club Members with all aspects of 126 ownership.
