Navy Wings

> Back to Events

Each year we try to have an event with more of an engineering flavour. This year we are doing this with a visit to Navy Wings at RNAS Yeovilton.

Navy Wings is the organisation that keeps the Royal Navy’s fleet of heritage aircraft in the air. If you have seen the Swordfish, the Seafire, the Sea Fury or Sea Vixen at an airshow you have already encountered their work.

We have arranged a visit to their hangar at RNAS Yeovilton to learn more about what it takes to keep these aircraft flying.

We meet at 10.00 to be ready for the start of the tour at 10.30.

After our tour of the hangar we shall head off for a spot of lunch together, somewhere close by. More detail on luncheon arrangements to follow. We expect lunch will be ‘pay on the day’ with a menu from which you can choose sent out earlier.
