Usually it’s me asking “can we visit?”, but after someone at the RNLI Station in Llandudno seeing our fantastic display of Mercedes-Benz cars on the promenade in July, we have been asked would we like to visit them and have a tour of the Station and the Lifeboat…..and I wasn’t going to say no!
Hence a visit to RNLI Station in Llandudno has been arranged for Saturday 26th September with a start time of 10.00am. The Station has a dedicated visitor centre which has information and videos on the history of the Station.
We will also get the opportunity to get up close to the Shannon All Weather Lifeboat and the D Class Inshore Lifeboat and subject to operational needs hopefully we will be able to have a tour around the Shannon Lifeboat as well.
At the end of the tour, we will have the opportunity to have photographs taken of our cars with the lifeboats.
The tour will last approximately 2 hours and there is a maximum number of 35 places. Car parking will be available next to the lifeboat station for 20 cars, or free parking on the road outside the lifeboat station.
There is no cost for the visit, however individual donations to the RNLI on the day of the visit are appreciated by both the RNLI and myself.
If there is enough interest after the RNLI tour, I will consider arranging a local drive with a light lunch stop somewhere. Please let me know if you would be interested in this when you book the RNLI visit.

There a lift in the station to access the first floor visitor centre and the outer deck of the Shannon. There are steps and narrow spaces inside the Shannon. No access issues on the ground floor around the bottom of the lifeboats.
