The Belmont Hotel Weekend, January 2026

Once again, we are organising our post-Christmas relaxing weekend away at The Belmont Hotel, in Sidmouth, on the south Devon coast and bookings are now open.

The dates for 2026 are from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th of January and, once again, we’ve reserved all the rooms for our exclusive use. If you wish to stay on the Thursday night and/or on the Sunday night, the hotel usually allows you to book these at our rates.

However, we won’t be able to finalise the room rates or the weekend arrangements until much later in the year, but we expect to get our usual good discount on their rates.

The format will be the same as usual, that is to say, a relaxed dinner on the Friday evening with a formal champagne reception and dinner on the Saturday night. Black tie is optional for this but most guests really enjoy the chance to dress formally.

If you would like to book early, then the hotel will accept bookings from now against a reduced deposit amount of £50. They will probably require a top-up deposit once the room rates are agreed later in the year. If you wish to wait to book until we know the rates, then simply wait until we have them agreed and let you know through the Gazette and our Newsletters.
