Pontons (W105/120/121/128/180)

I joined the Mercedes-Benz Club in 1988 when I bought my first Mercedes, a 250SL Pagoda and I still have it 32 years later. During this time I have attended many Club and classic car events in UK and Germany and in 2002 I took on the role of Regional Officer in the North West for the next 16 years or so. Around 2007 I bought a Ponton cabriolet to use alongside the Pagoda and again this has been on many European tours, not all of them have been trouble-free. The experiences with the Ponton has provided me with some insights into the model which I believe can be of benefit to other owners. I might not have all the answers but I can usually point people in the right direction. Numerous visits to Techno Classica in Essen have always proved invaluable in finding the best suppliers of parts for the Ponton models.
