STEPHEN BERESFORD

Having been an absolute Mercedes-Benz fanatic from a young boy, it was always my dream to own one. Around 20 plus years ago I achieved that dream and acquired my first Mercedes-Benz. Professionally, I have been in marketing and communications as a career for some 25 years working for global organisations. When the Board advertised in the Gazette for volunteers, I jumped at the chance to help the Club with its own marketing. After a six month period as Marketing Manager, I felt very honoured when the Board invited me to join them as Marketing Director. In February 2022 I was appointed Vice Chariman of the Club and in May 2022 on the retirement of Rosemarie Maslin, I was elected Chairman. My relevant experience includes being Vice Chairman of the Television and Radio Industries Club, Chairman of a Transport Co-operative and a Trustee of a Special Educational Needs Trust.  We have certainly been through challenging times. But I feel we have a strong Board of Directors with a good range of skills. Working with them I believe I can make a valuable contribution and help steer the Club into what is an exciting future.
