The 420SL has been under the current ownership since December 2013 and was purchased from its previous owner who carefully looked after the car for 20 years. As it was first registered in 1989 it was one of the last of the R107 range to benefit from galvanised panels which earlier models didn’t have. The bodywork therefore is in fine condition given its 35 year age.
Prior to purchase, the current owner had the car examined by a qualified specialist, the report of which is available for inspection.
During its lifetime the car has been garaged and regularly serviced / maintained by Mercedes trained engineers as the documented service history proves.
The car has been used on a regular basis during its lifetime and therefore has not sustained deterioration as a result of being dormant or in storage.
