1990 Mercedes 300SE W126
I bought this car just over two years ago from a dealer specialising in higher-end cars. Since being in my ownership it has been regularly maintained and MOT’d, any work needing carrying out has been. It has covered about 2, 000 miles in my ownership without a moment’s hesitation: a really splendid car to drive. I have fully rust-proofed the underside of the car and any crevices etc with Dinitrol.
The previous owner spent a lot of money fully restoring the car to a high standard. He bought it in 2016 and carried out the following work when he had it.
• Water pump
• Exhaust manifold gasket/ flanges
• Viscous coupling
• Plugs/ leads/ dizzy cap/ rotor arm
• New HD rear springs
• Crank censor/ relay
• Steering damper
• Front pads
• Engine mounts
• Steering idler bushes and kit
• Steering geometry set up
• New windscreen
• 1 new tyre
• Thermostat and housing
• Oil and filter
• Repair fuel pressure reg and adj
• Metering head
• OSF castor arm joint
• Recon front callipers
• Gearbox pipes
• Rocket faskets
• Front and rear plexis and pipes
• Allows refurbished
In addition bodywork carried out bottom N/ S rear door frame, spare wheel well, bottom of rear arches, bumper scuffs.
All of the above documented in folder full of invoices/ receipts. In total two former keepers before me. Little documentation exists before 2016 but there is a note from the first owner's garage confirming that the car had regular maintenance, so it has been looked after for all its life.
Car drives really well with no mechanical issues
Car is MOT’d until April 2025. The latest MOT mentions a spot of corrosion – this is on the N/ S rear arch. There is some bubbling but it is cosmetic and not structural; getting this touched up would bring the car up to a fantastically high standard. That said, overall it is a great car which I am only selling due to having too many cars to handle at the moment.
It is not a concourse-perfect car, and there are a few imperfections which I have tried to capture as honestly as possible with the photos (for example wear to trim near seatbelt adjuster, and on sun-roof). Sun-roof works both tilt and slide, but slide may need some adjustment as it left a scratch last time I used it.
Comes with 2 sets of keys.
