107 Tour de Yorkshire 20th-22nd September 2025 – Bookings open again

> Back to Events

You may know that the Tour de France cycle race had a Yorkshire section some years ago,  well we have upgraded it to Mercedes 107s.  For the Club’s first ever 107 driving event we are going to the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors.

We will start in Harrogate and spend the day driving a beautiful circular route through some of the most famous scenic locations and roads in the Yorkshire Dales, probably including; Grassington, Malham, the Ribblehead Viaduct, Hawes, The Butter Tubs Pass, Britain’s highest pub – Tan Hill Inn, Leyburn and spending our first night at a hotel near Ripon.

The second day we head east to the North York Moors via Sutton Bank, Helmsley, Pickering and calling in at Mathewson’s Auction rooms (Bangers & Cash) before Goathland (Heartbeat) and finally to Whitby for a stroll around the town and Fish & Chip supper.  Then onto our second hotel near Whitby.  On the Tuesday, there will be routes and options for further attractions such as Eden Camp, Elvington Air Museum, York (City Walls, Minster, Shambles, National Railway Museum, Viking centre etc).

We now have fourteen 107s booked onto the tour and all have now booked their accomodation in the hotels we suggested.  I can now re-open bookings for additional members who wish to join the Tour, but you will have to book your own accomodation.

You are encouraged to try the two hotels we have booked to see if they have capacity otherwise find alternative hotels nearby.

1st night.  The hotel I recommend you try and book for one night, Saturday 20th  September, is the Ripon Inn, Ripon,  about £189 a night B&B for 1 person, £199 for 2

This has free cancellation

The hotel for the second night, Sunday 21st September, is The Stables, Guisborough Rd, Whitby. Several room choices from about £150 B&B single through  to £225 deluxe room for 2  B&B.

This has free cancellation

There are no charges for the tour but you will pay for your own accommodation  and food direct.   If you cannot get into these hotels or wish to stay elsewhere there are others available nearby.

A full guide and itinerary with routes will be provided in due course and you will self-navigate to each rendezvous point.  Since you will book your own rooms, you have flexibility to add extra nights at the start and/or end if required .

While aimed at 107s, of course all Club Mercedes are welcome
