107 Tour des Lacs 2026

Following the success of the “107 Tour de Yorkshire” last year, this year we will go to the Lake District for a 4 day, 3 night tour.

Although this is a 107 Model register event, any Mercedes models owned by Club members are welcome and last year, about 25% of the cars were not 107s.

Day one will be travelling to Grange over Sands where there are local sights and activities before staying overnight.

Day two will be a drive along the length of Windermere with several stops which you can take as you wish including taking the ferry over to Beatrix Potter’s home, Hill top, Windermere Jetty Museum, Windermere town and Ambleside with many opportunities for retail therapy if desired. We stay at Water Head overnight.

Day three we head east to do a circular tour taking in many of the less busy attractions on the west side of the area and including Honister pass and Slate mine and several of the lakes before staying overnight in Borrowdale. There are several alternative routes and options for this day including the Hard Knott pass if you are brave.

Day four we head east and visit Ullswater and the Kirkstone Pass before members depart.

Each person booking onto the tour will receive a comprehensive tour guide document with outline maps, suggested stops and hotel booking links. All bookings must be made on this website page by entering your details and clicking Book Now.

The tour is on a self-book basis for the hotels and I will provide links to the principle hotels with some alternatives although you can stay where you like. The suggested hotels are the larger, 4 star ones which are more likely to be able to accommodate the likely numbers of members who wish to join the tour and are about £225 per room per night for B&B, but you can stay where you like and there may be opportunities to meet up for dinner etc.

Example routes will be provided by Google Maps links and there will be no intentional convoy driving.

The restriction will be the capacity of the suggested hotels and I strongly recommend that you book your place on the tour and book your hotels as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

You can start the tour earlier, stay longer in the area and come and go as you choose. There will be an option to buy tour rallye plaques nearer the event. A temporary WhatsApp group will be set up just before the tour starts for any communications during the tour and photo sharing opportunities.
