A driving weekend around wonderful Rutland for 190SL owners. We will be based at the Barnsdale Hotel, Exton, on the north side of Rutland Water. The event will start at 1pm on the Friday and the afternoon will be centred around a visit to The Rutland Vin yard with a tour, wine tasting and talk about the discovery of dinosaur fossils on site. The Saturday will focus on a tour of Rutland and its villages with a stop at the impressive Rutland Nursery overlooking the waters and Burghley House. We will then move on to Normanton where we will stop at Rutland Water to walk alongside it and visit the outside of Normanton Church on its small striking peninsular. On Sunday we will have a small follow-on tour of Rutland and then head to Rockingham Castle for a visit. For those interested we will head back to Stamford for a visit to its charming streets and shops, which will be open. The total cost for the event includes accommodation, Bed, Breakfast and evening meal at The Barnsdale Hotel in a Heritage room (Subject to availability, room costs may vary if all Heritage rooms have been booked), the Vin yard tour and tasting and Rockingham Castle.

Hotel: Book your Heritage room at The Barnsdale Hotel by calling 01572 724678. The cost is £350 for the 2 nights. Please quote booking reference GA001094. Bookings are non refundable, please consider travel insurance if you think there is any chance of cancellation.
Tour: Book on the club website, choosing either the 1 or 2 people option, or via the club office on 01780 482111. The cost is £191 for a single person and £336 for a couple, this cost includes meals on each evening and entry to the points of interest being visited on the tour. Bookings are non refundable, please consider travel insurance if you think there is any chance of cancellation.

There are flat gravel driveways and paths leading to the hotel entrance and carpark. The ground floor of the hotel is level for access to the dining areas and bar. The Heritage bedrooms are in an external courtyard accessible via a paved patio with a mixture of level ground floor bedrooms and others on the first floor, accessible by stairs. Some bedrooms have walk in showers, others have a shower over the bath.
