Viridor’s Ardley Energy Recovery facility
https://www.viridor.co.uk/energy/visiting-our-facilities/ardley-visitor-centre/
We will be visiting the Learning and Visitor Centre 13:30-16:00 Friday 24 January 2025.
There are several options for walking routes for which consent might be granted. The personal protective equipment needed to walk through the boiler hall includes boiler suits, to be worn over clothing and steel toe capped boots with ankle protection (ppe will be provided). Nonetheless sensible clothing appropriate for use on an industrial site is recommended.
The walking route takes approximately an hour: Visitors will only safely enjoy their visit if they can walk approximately half a mile comfortably without a break.
Tour numbers are limited to 15 people
Upon booking it is essential that you contact me, preferably by email, to give me your personal details and for me to impart information to you. Health and Safety matters are very much a condition of entering the Ardley site with form filling to be completed.
After the visit we could “retire” to The Chequers, our usual monthly pub meet venue, for an early supper.
