The AVRO Heritage Museum will host a special event celebrating German modern and classic cars on Sunday, 31st May 2026. This gathering will take place from 09:30 to 16:00 and promises to be a unique occasion for car enthusiasts and club members alike.
The Club has been invited to participate in the museum’s celebration of German marques. Attendees will join members from clubs representing Volkswagen, Porsche, and Audi, coming together to showcase the rich heritage of these iconic brands.
The event will shine a spotlight on the Mercedes-Benz Club, aiming to introduce the public to the Club and emphasise the social aspects of membership, as well as the legacy of Mercedes-Benz—the world’s first car manufacturer.
Throughout the day, a variety of activities will be available for visitors. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the museum (at an additional cost) and explore the history of aircraft innovation in the north west, tracing its development to the present day. The Vulcan Bomber will be on static display, and Club members will have a chance to park their cars under the aircraft for a unique selfie. If the Vulcan is unavailable, an alternative 707 aircraft will be provided for this experience.
The event is scheduled to conclude at 16:00. While attendees are encouraged to stay for the duration, there is no requirement to remain for the entire day.
The cost of admission will be £5 per person, payable at the gate by cash or card.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on site, though they will not be permitted inside the Museum.
