Thanks to one of our eagle-eyed members, we bring you sad tidings!

Wetherspoons decided to close the Hope & Champion at short notice in January.

However, Breakfast Fans do not despair, we have switched the event to another of our previous venues, SYON PARK in Isleworth, West London. Previous visitors will know that there is a large ‘Hillier’ Garden Centre in Syon Park, adjacent to the House and Gardens. The Garden Centre has a smart café/restaurant “The Courtyard” which boasts a large outdoor seating area and also “The Clocktower Café” serving hot drinks and snacks.

Since the garden centre and restaurant don’t open until 10.00am I would suggest arrival from 9.30am for a leisurely brunch from 10.00am. Once you have entered Syon Park off Park Road [TW7 6XE] drive past the house (pictured) and into the Garden Centre car park. The Garden Centre is dog friendly, and everything is on ground level for easy access.
