For London Region’s first official event of 2026 we will be returning to our regular breakfast venue or ‘Stammtisch’, The Hope and Champion, Beaconsfield Services on Sunday 22nd February.
For the information of potential new members attending, we assemble in the car park of Beaconsfield Services just off the M40 from 8.30am for a 9.00-ish breakfast at the Hope & Champion (Wetherspoons). We habitually park at the far left-hand (Eastern) side of the car park and proceed to eat when we are ready. However, due to ongoing alterations to the car park, I would ask the first arrivals to create a Club “area” in an appropriate part of the car park. Food can be ordered at the bar or via the Wetherspoons App from the table. We normally eat upstairs and occupy the large tables at the window end. There is usually tyre kicking & conversation both before and after breakfast (depending on the weather of course). Please introduce yourselves if you are first time attendees.
These Breakfasts normally finish around 11.00 so there is plenty of time for you to watch the footie, celebrate National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day, World Thinking Day or (for our US brethren) National Margarita Day or indeed whatever else you like to do on Sunday afternoons. I do believe Crystal Palace, Fulham, Spurs and Arsenal are all playing in the afternoon that day. Looking forward to seeing you all.
