We have 20 places booked to visit the above establishment on 29th September 2024.
The rendezvous point will be in the Malborough Tesco superstore car park SN8 4AE at 09.45 for a 10.00 departure. Journey time expected to be approximately one hour.
We will be permitted to park our cars in front of the two hangars, which provides an excellent backdrop for a group photo and then congregate in the Conference Room for a tea or coffee, while we enjoy a brief introduction to BDAC and its history.
We are then free to explore the two WW1 hangars that are full of cockpits and aircraft, all with provenance of A&AEE Boscombe Down, Old Sarum Airfield and the surrounding Wessex area.
This is very much a “hands on” Collection, many of the exhibits have ladders or steps to allow you to climb in and experience flying a fast jet.
A fee of £10.50 per person includes the welcome drink, the intro and entry to the hangars and is payable on the day. Tour duration approx. two hours.
Following our visit, we have a reservation at a local restaurant for lunch (not compulsory)
