Join us on a visit to the birthplace of the “Knife Angel”, made from over 100,000 seized blades, which toured the country a few years ago to highlight the issues surrounding knife crime. There are 70 acres of parkland and over 1000 different sculptures to explore, as well as the Forge café for a bite to eat and an Artisan village for some shopping. Having been there before, the sculptures are amazing to see as you wander around the grounds. You can stay as long as you wish, the venue closes at 4pm.
There are various walking trails you can follow for adults and children, the Robot Trail, the Minion Trail, a Seasonal Trail which changes through the year, and a “Doggy” Trail. Trail maps are provided on entry. There is a dog friendly area of the Forge café together with an outside seating area where dogs are allowed.
We plan to meet in the venue car park between 9.30am & 10.00am, before making our way into the centre.
Entry is normally £14 per person on a Saturday, however as we are a group booking entry is free but they would like a donation for the Community Projects that they are involved with. Therefore, I propose to charge £10 per car, cash on the day, and hand it over to them on the day (this is their preference).
