Classic & Super Car Show at Purley Sports Club

Eagle eyed members will have read my write up of last year’s Purley Sports Club Classic & Super Car Show in the March Gazette and I am happy to confirm that we will again be representing our Club at this very friendly local event in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and the Alzheimer’s Society, two great causes that I am sure are close to all our hearts.

This year’s event is taking place on Sunday 30th August and is open to the public from 12 noon “until late”. There will be outdoor bars, a variety of food trucks, live music and all sorts of other activities on offer. The sports facilities will also be accessible for all participants to experience including tennis, squash, padel, bowls, cricket, tennis, hockey and netball! Alternatively, you can just admire the many cars on show, enjoy the atmosphere and our sparkling company. If last year is anything to go by, I would recommend you bring water and sunscreen!

Exhibitors can enter their cars FOR FREE, providing you register in advance with the organisers AND in addition all exhibitors will receive a complementary Bacon Butty and hot drink prior to the event opening to the public. Did I mention entry for exhibitors is FREE? Your DONATIONS to the charities on the day will of course be gratefully accepted!

Unfortunately, Purley Sports Ground is inside the ULEZ Charging Zone, so please bear that in mind when deciding if you would like to attend.
