Classics in the Walled Garden is for historic vehicle lovers to view vintage & classic cars, motorbikes and commercial vehicles to the historic Walled Gardens, Luton Hoo Estate (near Harpenden). Gather with friends and meet with fellow enthusiasts on a summer’s evening, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and bring your own picnic to soak in the summer evening.
Now in its 16th yearthey have gained interest from additional sponsors, local car related clubs and retailers gathering in the lawned area around the walled garden, for further interest and enjoyment. This year there will be enhanced food and drink options available, together with live music, a raffle draw and the ever-popular tombola – with exciting prizes for car enthusiasts!
Guided tours of the garden may also be available at this event. The Walled Garden is well known to many as a historic five-acre garden, enclosed by a 18th century octagonal wall, with glass houses and a conservatory (the second largest in the country, next to that of Kew Gardens). It was designed by Capability Brown in late 1760’s for John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute and Prime Minster to George III. Find out more about the gardens here: Visiting The Walled Garden.
