Culture at Hauser and Wirth

Each year we try and plan an event that is not totally focussed on cars. This year we have arranged a visit to the Modern Art Gallery at Hauser and Wirth in Bruton, Somerset. H&W is home to a vibrant programme of art exhibitions, events, learning activities and artists’ residencies, which connect with the local community and landscape. It is a truly lovely spot where we can enjoy not only their current exhibition (Phyllida Barlow) but also the Piet Oudolf garden behind the gallery which will be stunning at this time of the year. At the top of Oudolf Field sits the Radić Pavilion, designed by Chilean architect Smiljan Radić. The site includes a Gallery Shop, the Roth Bar and Grill and the Durslade Farm Shop, which is stuffed with gorgeous local produce and so much more!

Our visit includes a guided tour of the gallery and exhibition but is limited to 20 members with a minimum of 15. We need to confirm we are going ahead by the 27th of May when bookings close so please get your bookings in a.s.a.p..

We also hope to have lunch together at the newly renovated Roth Bar. We will send more details nearer the date but we’d expect that they would like some advance notice.

Accessibility information

All areas throughout the site are accessible for wheelchair users, as well as disabled toilets. There are kennels with water bowls where dogs can wait (unsupervised).
