A guided tour of the Rookery South Energy Recovery Facility in mid-Bedfordshire.

See how up to 657,000 tonnes of waste per year is converted into enough electricity to power 120,000 homes.  In addition to the tour there is an interactive facility to visit.

Afterwards we can retire to the nearby Caffeine & Machine for lunch/coffee.

Accessibility information

As this is an industrial site, sensible shoes will be required. Also long trousers & long sleeved tops. PPE will be provided on the day. Not suitable for anyone with a fear of heights.
