Llangollen Steam Railway Visit

Come along for a nostalgic return journey on a steam train from Corwen to Llangollen.
Please arrive at 10.30hrs at Corwen Station where we will catch the 11.05hrs steam train
from Corwen arriving in Llangollen at 11.46hrs where we will have approximately 3 hours to
enjoy the town of Llangollen and have a bite to eat in one of its many cafes/restaurants. I
am hoping that a tour of the engine sheds in Llangollen can be arranged for those who are
interested as part of our visit, but this is dependant on the availability of volunteers on the
day. If you would like to do the engine shed tour, please let me know by email when you
book the visit as numbers are limited to around 10 per tour. For the engine shed tour please
wear appropriate clothing as it is not the cleanest of environments for obvious reasons!
Sturdy shoes must also be worn.
We will then catch the 14.45hrs steam train for our return journey to Corwen.
The cost of a railway ticket is £18 for seniors (ages 65+), £20 (ages 16+) for adults, £8 for
children (ages 3 to 15) and £2.50 for dogs.
The engine shed tour will be free, however I’m sure they would appreciate a donation to
help their cause.
To assist the railway in reserving places, please book this trip as soon as possible, preferably
at least 1 month beforehand as I will need to pay a 20% deposit. If you book after this, I will
not be able to guarantee your place with the club on the same train carriage, but the railway
will take additional numbers up to the 21 st September.
