The gardens can become muddy in wet weather, therefore suitable footwear is recommended. The gardens are steep in many places, rising to 70m above sea level. There are a number of steep drops, slippery stones, spiky plants and areas with deep water.

Reserved parking spaces for registered disabled badge holders The three toilet facilities are step free and wheelchair friendly. Due to the natural contours of the land access to the sculpture gardens is limited for those with physical disabilities and parts of gardens are unsuitable for motor scooters, wheelchairs users and prams.
