We have arranged a visit to Duke of London on Saturday 29th August from 10.00am until 2.00pm and we have been allocated a Club-only parking area on the Creekside at ground level conveniently close to the coffee shop and other newly opened facilities on the lower levels. There is no vehicular height restriction for the Waterside parking so feel free to bring your SUV’s, G-Wagens and Mercedes Benz camper vans!
There have been many changes at the Duke of London since our last Club visit, not least that they are now located in brand-new premises! The name Duke of London may not be familiar to some Club members, but they are one of the new breed of classic and supercar hubs, located on the banks of the Thames in Brentford, West London.
Founded by Merlin McCormack in 2014, what began as a small car dealership has grown into something hard to define — a working community of independent businesses, a gathering place for car enthusiasts, and a hub for West London’s creative and automotive worlds. Honestly, there is nothing quite like it. Duke of London’s metamorphosis from their quirky old premises into the sparkly new glass-and-stell multi-storey space containing sales, storage, showroom, bars, coffee shop and three event spaces has been nothing short of miraculous, and an AWFUL lot of work for those involved. For more information visit the Duke of London website here
The Duke’s HQ officially opened on 9th May this year and we have been invited as a Club to come share the “vibe”. There are always lots and lots of interesting cars to look at, and Duke of London are extremely dog friendly, so bring your canine chum along to enjoy the experience.
There is catering onsite and I would encourage you to take advantage of the locally produced cakes and other foodstuffs on offer. There is a non-refundable £5- booking fee for this event which goes to local good causes.
