Moretonhampstead Motor Museum

Join us for a visit to Moretonhampstead Motor Museum on Saturday 11th May.

The Museum is spread over two floors of an old bus station on the edge of the town and contains a very varied selection of cars and motor bikes, dating back to the 1920’s. There are over 150 main exhibits as well as hundreds of other artefacts and memorabilia. The founder, Frank Loft, will meet us and give us an introduction to his collection, we will then take our time to view the collection before going for lunch at The Union Inn. There is a lift between the Museum floors for anyone who is not able to manage the stairs.

We shall meet first at The Union Inn in Ford Street (TQ13 8LN) at 10:30 am for coffee and tea, then take a 5-minutes or so walk to the Museum to get there for 11:30 am when it opens. Please take cash with you as the coffee and tea will probably be on an ‘honesty-box’ basis

We should leave the Museum around 12:45 to make our way back to The Union Inn for a hot buffet lunch with a choice of three mains at 1:00 pm. Desserts may be ordered on the day from their menu.

The cost for this is £9 each for the Museum entry plus £12 each for the lunch, total £21 per person to pay to the Club. Please pay separately on the day for any coffees, teas and desserts.

Parking: There is very limited parking on the road near the Museum and no parking at The Union Inn, however there is a large pay and display car park almost opposite the Museum and another one in Station Road, not too far away.
