Netherby Hall Car Show

> Back to Events

The Netherby Hall classic car show is an event designed for the whole family to enjoy. Not only will there be a range of exciting performance and supercars and classic and vintage cars for people to explore, but there will also be plenty of stalls to visit and buy from. The grounds are spectacular and are free to look around – especially the large walled garden.

A spectacular 2-day event set in the stunning grounds of the private estate of historic Netherby Hall in the heart of the Cumbrian countryside and surrounded by fields, forests and beautiful wildlife.  It is a special show with the Saturday open to the public to view displays of performance and supercars which may be individual owners or club or manufacturer displays. These are all removed by the Saturday evening and on Sunday classic cars and club stands are set up.

It is on the Sunday the 4th August that The Mercedes Club has a club attendance for members to arrive and display their cars under the club banner. This year it is open to members cars that were registered during the year 2000 or earlier. So this will be a classic and vintage display of club members Mercedes. It is a special show with the Saturday 3rd August open to the public to view displays of performance and supercars which may be individual owners or club or manufacturer displays but the 3rd is not our Club day which is the 4th.

Cost to enter your vehicle is free to members joining us at the club stand – which includes driver and passengers. The club stand I have been told will be sited just in front of the main house on very firm and level grassed lawn area. Nearer to the time of the event I will have been given display badges by email and I will forward these on to yourselves to print off and display in your windscreen alongside your club badge. In this way you will directed to the club stand when entering the grounds of Netherby Hall and will not be asked to pay an entrance fee – which will apply to general members of the public coming to look around the event.

For these reasons it is important that you register your attendance via the BOOK NOW button on this event so that there is a clear record of attendance numbers, car age and your contact details so that the display badges can be forwarded to you in good time for you to print off

Your arrival to park up at the club stand should be achieved by 10.30am  – after this time the general public will be allowed in and it may be difficult for you to access the club area. Once located under the banner of the club it is expected that members cars remain in place for the duration of the event as leaving early can cause traffic issues on the single driveway into and out of the event.

It is expected that you prepare and display a bio of your car, informing interesting information about its origin, details and more to educate the visitors. You should place this inside the windscreen for people to read all about it.

Cars parked at the club stand which turn out to be younger than yr2000 will be asked to relocate to the main public area car park which is a firm but grassed field alongside the driveway to the main house. In this instance a charge may be applied by the organisers.

The weather is usually kind to the weekend that this event is held on and it is an opportunity to enjoy the drive to a spectacular setting and to display and show off your classic and vintage Mercedes to members of the public – as well as other club members.
