Netherby Hall Performance & Classic car show

> Back to Events

Set in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside, Netherby Hall hosts a fantastic car show which displays some of the best and unique classic cars and performance vehicles that the UK has to offer. I have spoken with the organisers, and this is again a two-day event- with Saturday 2nd August dedicated to Performance and Super Cars, which are removed overnight, for the Sunday the 3rd August to display Classic cars.

Netherby Hall is located in the heart of the Cumbrian countryside and surrounded by fields, forests and beautiful wildlife, near Longtown, Carlisle, Cumbria. CA6 5PR. The owners of Netherby Hall have connections to Aston Martin so there is always a large example of some rare and exotic cars displayed.

In 2024 the club did not have a stand on the Saturday performance & super car day, but two Cumbrian Club members did display privately showing an SLS gullwing and a CL55AMG. This year the club hopes to enlist more Mercedes performance and supercar members to enable a club stand to be pitched. Why not come along for a superb day and enjoy the other performance cars and meet and chat with interested exhibitors and public alike.

On the Sunday, the show is open to all manner of classic cars with registration on or before year 2000 – but this was relaxed a bit last year.

It could be that your vehicle(s) cover both days and you could make a full weekend of it.

Last year there were some stunning cars on display and the show itself is also pitched with memorabilia stands and excellent food stalls. If you need something motoring to look forward to in summer, then the Classic and Performance Car Show at Netherby Hall is a terrific opportunity to experience a safe, fun day out in summer and is an event designed for the whole family to enjoy.

To exhibit is charged at £5 per car per day (which includes the driver and 1 passenger), but it is essential to decide on which day(s) you wish to attend and select you ticket numbers for the correct day(s) you are attending so that I can keep a check on how many and what cars will be coming on each of the two days.

So if you attend on the Saturday or Sunday only it will be £5 per car – if you attend on both days it will end up being £10.

You will have to book each day separately I am afraid as this is the only way I can know how many individual tickets for each day I need to request. Monies will be collected by the club, so after hitting the BOOK NOW button you will be transferred to the clubs payment page to enter all your details and then confirm your ticket by hitting the Pay Now button – do not leave the payment page until your payment has been taken and your booking confirmed

So put your details in and hit the BOOK NOW for the Performance day – the Saturday.

So put your details in and hit the BOOK NOW for the Classic day – the Sunday.

This year the organisers have arranged judging and created a “Car of Show” award for each day. The winners will be awarded £100.

The organisers do request for cars being shown if you can display a small bio of your vehicle in the windscreen (year/model/history etc etc) for members of the public and enthusiasts to have a read – always promotes good discussions. Nearer to the time I will be informing the organisers of final numbers and settling their invoice with the monies the club has collected, after which they will be emailing me all the entry tickets to forward on to you. You will need to print the ticket(s) and bring them along with you to gain entry to the show ground. Direction will be given to you upon entry so that you can locate the Mercedes Club area, but I am sure you will be able to spot the club flag and banner and the Coleman shelter as you drive in.

You arrival for club stand attendance is required by 10.00am before the general public arrivals is opened up at 10.30am. Once parked at the club stand the organisers do request that you remain in location until the end of the show ~1600hrs. This is a H&S matter for them as the road through the estate is single width (with passing places) but during the show there will be lots of people, children especially, wondering around the show and on the road.

If you are considering to display over both days and will be travelling far for the show there are many and varied places to stay nearby, including apartments at Netherby Hall itself, but I am unable to make any of the accommodation needs you may require so I am afraid I will have to leave that to your yourself to arrange.
