R230 UK Based Silver Anniversary Weekend16-18 October 2026

2026 is the Silver Anniversary year for the R230. The first R230s (SL500s) rolled off the production line in the summer of 2001.

I am very aware that most R230 owners could not have afforded a couple of weeks, to mark the occasion, by joining the R230 Drive and Dine Tour 2026 through Spain, Portugal, Spain again and finally France.

I have therefore set up a weekend based in Richmond, Yorkshire where there is a variety of B&B accommodation possibilities to suit most budgets.

I will organise evening dining together, venue to be determined once numbers are finalised, but ask participants to arrange their own B&B accommodation.

This will be a two nights stay in Richmond, Friday and Saturday nights; 16/17 October 2026.

I will organise a driving route in and around the Yorkshire Dales for the Saturday and a driving route in and around the North York Moors for the Sunday.

The weekend would finish late Sunday afternoon, 18 October, at a hostelry on the southern edge of the North York Moors.

I will want to finalise the number of attendees no later than Sunday 23 August to give me time to sort out venues for dinner together Friday and Saturday evenings and the choice of hostelry for the Sunday afternoon; before I leave for the R230 D+D Tour.
