Scotland South – 3 Lochs road run

> Back to Events

Please join us for a road run through the beautiful Argyll and Bute countryside, taking in the sights and enjoying the winding roads through the hills and nearby Lochs.

Club member James Rehill has very kindly assisted with a route (as he is an experienced coach driver in the area), and we have decided to start by meeting at the Caulders Garden Centre, Erskine (Bishopton PA7 5PU) at 09:00 on Saturday the 24th of August.  After a coffee and bacon roll, we will head up the A82 before heading towards Garelochhead, routing around the Rosneath peninsula, up past Loch Long and onwards to Arrochar.  We will pit stop at the Rest and be Thankful viewpoint before heading for lunch at the Inveraray Inn.

After lunch, we will head for Dunoon and then take the Western Ferry to Gourock, which will be the finishing point.  In total, this will be roughly 100 miles and will be a leisurely drive where we can take our time.

Modifications to this route may take place, but updates will be provided to those who sign up to attend.  A route planner will also be provided on the day.

This is a free event, just please use the ticket system so that I can determine numbers for booking lunch etc.

I look forward to seeing you there,

Martyn.
