On SATURDAY 18th JULY 2026 there is a ‘joint’ get together event between the ‘London Region’ and their ‘bestie’ top righthand neighbours – ‘Anglia South‘
Although the club has been to this location in the past there are still many members who have yet to see inside this fascinating ‘cold war’ underground nuclear bunker system.
Hidden deep below ground under a small and insignificant ‘bungalow’ this fantastic bunker system still holds all that it did from its build up from the late 1950s through to the 1980’s when the ‘Iron lady’ ruled the country.
It is bright, dry, clean and still houses all the relics of 1980’s excess with large screen computers and huge phones, wall charts and old office furniture that would have been state of the art back then.
No self respecting nuclear bunker system is complete without all this!
Take a self guided tour of this brilliant complex of office spaces, dormitories, meeting rooms, medical facilities and canteen and try to image yourself back then, safe under ground, whilst all above you could have been a nuclear wasteland.
With ample parking and plenty to see this is a trip well worth taking and, although its all one BIG secret, there are plenty of signs to direct you to the door!

There are many steps down from the 'fake' bungalow entrance above ground down to the bunker system below and there is NO lift. Sorry, dogs are not allowed. There is ample free parking on site. If using GPS please use CM15 0LA Access only via A128 Note: Sat Nav may drop short of the main entrance. Continue until you see brown signs on A128 Tel: 01277 364883 There is no Wi-Fi underground so any canteen purchases (if required) are best made in cash.
