South Wales and Herefordshire Black Mountain Pass drive

> Back to Events

Saturday 6th April sees us gather at 10.00am in Brynamman for our drive over the spectacular Black Mountain Pass. We’ll have coffee (and cake) in the Canolfan y Mynydd Du/Black Mountain Centre, Heol Cwmgarw, SA18 1BU, a thriving Community Cafe, Shop and Post Office before heading off along the A4069 towards Llandovery.

We’ll stop for a while to wander round the ghostly remains of the limestone Chwareli’r Mynydd Du/Black Mountain Quarries before heading off to our next stop just above the infamous hairpin bend, for ice cream and photo opportunities, then commencing our descent through dark woods alongside rushing streams to the quaint village of Llangadog. From there we’ll embark on the final lap of the route taking us into the old Drovers’ town of Llandovery, to have our Lunch in the famous West End Cafe .

Saturday Lunch  All day breakfast will be available No deposit necessary but please let us know if you’re attending the event so I can let them have final numbers.
