(Please note this is the weekend BEFORE the FBHVC’s national Drive-it-Day)
Our first outing in 2026 starts with 10.00am brunch at the Aviator Hotel which is located at Sywell Aerodrome at NN6 0BN, about 8 miles north-east of Northampton. This will be followed by a 65-mile drive arcing round to the north and then east, mostly on countryside roads and ending at a garden centre café near Huntingdon.
The £5 per person booking fee covers inclusion in our brunch (but not food costs) and a detailed trip mileage/directions schedule (and hopefully a Google map) which will be emailed to you a few days beforehand. The schedule will include information on locations of interest which are optional stops along the way.
Before heading off on the route you may be interested in visiting the Sywell Aerodrome Museum; also, it may be worth checking the Sywell website to see if any interesting events are taking place at the aerodrome.
