Summer-Evening Gliding and BBQ at RAF Weston on the Green, Oxfordshire, Friday 19th July

Join the Oxfordshire Region for an evening get-together at RAF Weston on the Green, with gliding and a BBQ, courtesy of Oxford Gliding Club!  We’re rerunning the event as last year it proved our most popular – everyone loved the gliding, and the BBQ by a roaring fire was equally enjoyable!.

Arrive after 5pm, with gliding starting at 6 and continuing until dusk.  Fly with one of the Club’s instructors for views over the Oxfordshire countryside, and perhaps Oxford itself and Blenheim Palace, with its famous estate.  As dusk falls, the Club will be lighting up their BBQ to round off what promises to be another memorable event.

Cost will be £40 for a first flight and, time permitting, £20 for subsequent flights – these prices being well below those for trial flights at most clubs – payable to the Gliding Club on the night.  BBQ is £10 per person, payable on booking.

Please note that gliding is a well-regulated sport and participants will receive a briefing for their flight.  Each of us will sign a club Gliding Club Temporary Membership Form, which provides insurance.  Please note that the maximum weight for flying the 2 seat gliders is 100kg.
