“Technical event at fellow member Colin’s garage in Aberdeen. Colin has a number of Mercedes cars including a W113 and a W108 that we can look over and discuss technical matters. We will be looking at his 6 speed gear box conversions to those classic Mercedes to make them more useable by reducing the engine speed allowing for more comfortable cruising at motorway speeds. We are hoping to have a BBQ on the day. This is looking to be a fascinating day, numbers will be restricted so early booking is recommended. We are looking for a 11:00 o’clock start and finishing around 15:00. There will be a charge of £10 collected on the day.”
