VISIT TO ABBEY CLASSICS AND GUIDED TOUR OF BUCKFAST ABBEY, THURSDAY 23 APRIL, 2026

We have been invited to visit the workshop of Abbey Classics and take a private look at some of the cars they have in their storage facility.

 

Nestled on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Abbey Classics is located adjacent to the beautiful Buckfast Abbey, a historic Benedictine monastery founded in 1018.  By the 14th century, Buckfast was one of the wealthiest abbeys in the South West.

After our welcome and tour of Abbey Classics, we shall walk a short distance across to Buckfast Abbey where we will have a guided tour hosted by one of the monks, followed by lunch in the Abbey.

 

We expect the timings of the day to be:

Arrive at Abbey Classics: 11:30 – 11:45am for tea or coffee and tour

Guided Tour of the Abbey: 12:15 – 1:00pm

Lunch: 1:00 – 2:00pm

 

After lunch you will be able to explore the Abbey and grounds in your own time until you wish to depart.

 

The Abbey restaurant will need a pre-order for our lunch – we will circulate a menu a couple of weeks before the day.   At present, we understand this will be “pay-on-the-day” but will let you know if that changes.
