We will meet and visit this unique and fascinating command centre which will be followed by a meal at the Falgate Inn, Potter Heigham.

Experience the country’s only original Cold War Operations Room, which formed a critical link in the RAF’s Command and Control System in the years following WW2.  A visit to the museum will give you a comprehensive insight into how Cold War air defence operations were carried out during those tense and dangerous times as the RAF faced the might of the Soviet Air Force and the ever-present threat of nuclear war.

The Museum is an award winning, volunteer run, visitor attraction that offers a fascinating and informative day out. Housed entirely in RAF buildings including the original hardened Grade II listed 1942 radar operations building, the Museum provides a unique window into the history of radar covering the period of WWII to the Cold War.

Cost of entry: Pre booked Groups £11 per person..  Choose the number of attendees on this site for our list and click Book Now.  You will pay for your tickets at the venues.

After a wander around the Radar Station, we will motor on to lunch at the Falgate Inn at Potter Heigham. Lunch will be served promptly at 14:00pm. Attendees will be contacted nearer the date, with a menu for lunch bookings, as all meals will be pre-ordered.

There will be a dedicated parking area for our cars in their spacious car park and if the weather is with us, they have a countryside outside dining area. If not we will be inside in the lounge.

After the meal, you will be free to visit the local famous boatyard, moorings and popular tourist area in Potter Heigham or have a pleasant walk along the banks of the Thurne.
