All Club Directors have fixed terms of office and two of our Directors who have specific portfolios do not wish to stand for re-election and will have reached the end of their 3 year term at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) later this year. These are our Directors of Finance and Systems. We are therefore seeking two new Directors with relevant experience to fill these specific roles.
Director – Finance
While the successful candidate does not have to be a qualified accountant, they will need to be competent with financial management, controls and reporting and be able to communicate the Club’s financial positions to both Director colleagues and the membership. Previous experience using these skills would be important.

Director – Systems
Over the past 3 years, the Club has undertaken a widespread modernisation of its IT systems used by Members, Officials and the Club Office. We need a hands-on, technically competent director able to continue this work and develop our systems further. The ability to interpret needs and communicate the use of our systems to a wide variety of people will be vital.

In common with all Club director applications, candidates for both positions will need to have been a Club member for at least two years at the time of the ballot and have a proposer and two seconders who have also all been Members for at least two years. There will be a handover from the incumbents and there may be an opportunity for a period of shadowing.
