In the last edition of our newsletter “ClubNews” sent to all Members for whom we have an email address, we asked Members to consider two possible options for the future delivery of the Gazette to members and to “vote” for their preference.
The background is that postage costs are a huge proportion of the Club expenditure and we have had requests from some Members to not receive the Gazette by post and instead have it online where it can be read on screen or downloaded to be viewed on Members’ own computers whenever they wish. Members would be sent a link each month direct to the latest edition.
If the online option was chosen, it is likely that a reduction in our costs could be passed onto Members in the form of a lower annual subscription – perhaps £10 cheaper. The online option would be a PDF but we are looking at a possible “page turning” version perhaps similar to this…

An article in the September Gazette will say the above and give a link to vote for your preference. This vote is just to inform us of the potential uptake of such an option. It does not commit you to this at this time. The implications could be significant in terms of changes to advertising revenue and systems to enact the option requested individually for each Member.
This does not mean that there are any plans to stop the printed Gazette, simply that some Members may want to have a cheaper online only option.
It is a very simple single question to be answered. Please let us know by clicking this link below.
